Prenatal & Postpartum

Before, during, and after pregnancy are some of the most important times for women to receive Chiropractic care.
Chiropractic care before pregnancy can help promote regular menstrual cycles and nervous system function. This allows the body to be ready for all the changes women face during pregnancy.
Women experience many hormonal, chemical, and physical changes during pregnancy, all of which are controlled by the nervous system. Chiropractic can positively affect nervous system function allowing women to better adapt to these changes. Chiropractic care may also contribute to safer, shorter, and easier births.
Birth is a magical experience, but it is also a trauma for both mom and baby. Chiropractic care is important to help adapt to all the changes involved with pregnancy. New mothers are healing while taking care of a child and we want to help facilitate  a smooth and healthy transition into parenthood.
Dr. Lauren is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is certified in the Webster Technique. The Webster Technique is a specific analysis and adjustment to help restore nervous system function and pelvic balance through surrounding muscles, ligaments, and bones. This can result in decreased uterine torsion and allow optimal fetal position.
